Coaches 

The heart of the Greek Peak Ski Club is our energetic team of experienced coaches who value fundamentals, fearlessness, and fun. Our coaches’ philosophy embraces long-term athlete development; emphasizing age-appropriate training and competition to develop athletes with a life-long love of skiing.

Our coaches, at minimum, have completed the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Fast-Start Coaching Course, a background check and are SafeSport Certified.

GPSC values and supports coaches education and most coaches have a USSS level 100 certification or higher.

Marisa (Mo) LaFalce, program director and head coach

Coach Mo grew up ski racing with the Greek Peak Ski Club and later raced for Cornell University. Her three-decade-long (and going) passion for coaching ski racing began in college.

She is a USSS level 200 coach and has worked with skiers from age six through college age. Her coaching philosophy is that great ski racers come from developing adaptive athletic skiers with a focus on FUNdamentals. 

She finds joy in seeing athletes she coached as U12s return to the sport as coaches when they grow up.

Wendy Weichert, director of development programs

Coach Wendy has 28+ years of experience in sharing her love of skiing, including the last 10 years coaching with the GPSC. She is a PSIA level 3 and USSS level 100 certified coach and is passionate about continuing education.  When given even the slightest opportunity, she will expound the far-reaching benefits of creating lifelong skiers.  She believes in introducing skiing to children in a fun, supportive environment, using a variety of mountain opportunities, including an introduction to racing, to engage children and promote a lifelong passion for skiing.
